When does the WHS meet?
From September to April the WHS meets once a month, usually usually on a Wednesday evening. Notice of meetings is displayed in local papers and circulated to members of WHS by means of a quarterly newsletter.

Where do the WHS meet?
At the moment the WHS meet in St.,Michael'sCentre,Green Street, Wexford.

When is the Journal of the WHS published ?
Currently the Journal of the WHS is published every two years. The most recent journal was published in September 2009.

Who contributes to the Journal?
Contributions are welcome from any person who has written an article. These are submitted to the Editor who ultimately decides on the content of the bi-annual publication. The current editor of Journal 22 is Mr. Hilary Murphy.

How much does the Journal cost?
The latest Journal of the WHS costs €15 per copy to paid up members of the society. Appropiate P&P  will be charged,when this is required.

Where can one purchase the Journal of the WHS?
The Journal of the WHS is available locally at all good book shops.

How much does it cost to become a member of the WHS?
Current membership costs €20 per person and €25 per family. Further details are available on the Membership page.

What format do the meetings take?
The meetings usually take the form of a lecture, slide show or presentation.

Is there a social aspect to being a member of the WHS?
Both lectures and tours offer a combination of information and enjoyment, the onus is on each member to derive from the activities what they will. The WHS has an annual Christmas Lunch where "lighter historical" topics are discussed.

Do you you have to be an expert to become a member of the WHS?
Not at all. People of all levels of interest, expertise and qualifications are members of the WHS.
